10 Ways to Self-Care on Game Day

Thanks to P&G for sponsoring this Game Day discussion. I'm sure no one is surprised that I'm not really all that vested in the Big Game. However, I do like snacks. I like half time. I like snuggling on the couch. I like being in the same space as my husband. My mind wonders though. I'm there but I'm not there. So a part of my game day tradition is to practice a little self-care.

How to Style a Crop Top in Winter

This sponsored Mode post contains useful information all savvy thriftanistas should know especially if crop tops are your jam. Opinions are my own. It's been a rabbit hole of fashion since I've made layering my chosen way to stay warm this winter. I recently stumbled upon a treasure trove of inspiration on Mode's Glam channel. I love the outfits Natalie Craig of Natalie in the City curated in this list of ways to wear a crop top in winter. I can't wait to experiment with every single look using the thrifted items in my closet.

How to Find Designer Brands at Thrift Stores

Since I'm playing around with winter layering , I've been going through my stash of summer clothes and rediscovering so many gems. I had completely forgotten about the Rachel Roy dress. I am in no way a label whore but it is a nice feeling to save big on designer clothes by purchasing them in thrift stores. I discovered this Rachel Roy jersey dress at Goodwill. It's about 5 years old. It's a basic sheath with a cute and colorful bamboo print. I paid $7 for it. The retail value was over $200.

Thrift Store Outfits: Little Black Dress

I had no idea I would be so fond of the little black dress from my last thrift haul . This is my first time wearing it other than trying it on over my clothes at the thrift store mirror. It's a great fitting little vintage sheath dress. I'm looking forward to getting lots of wear out of it.

How to Win at Winter Layering

The struggle is very real when trying to beat the cold and look stylish in winter. I've become quite fond of wearing layers. It's can actually feel warmer than tossing a loose fitting puffy coat over a single layer. Also, it's a lot more fun to play around with different textures and allow your outfit to be seen.

How to Dress Chic: Lessons from Moto X Pure Edition

The outfit I'm wearing defines my chic and also represents lessons learned from ogling the new Moto X Pure Edition by iconic American designer Jonathan Adler. He's bringing his timeless chic design to the world of technology via a limited edition collaboration with Motorola. I thank him and I thank Motorola for sponsoring this discussion. To be chic is to be stylish and elegant. Shopping at thrift stores has certainly helped me make better style choices when it comes to to the clothes I wear. I learned to appreciate and find the good in several styles of clothing from several different decades. I'm not concerned with the year an item was made. It's the quality I'm looking at. The designer isn't so important either. Although, it can be an indicator of good quality.
