I'm so excited to finally wear a thrift outfit for a rare mom's night out. My favorite mom friend invited me out to a gallery opening and this is what I wore. It's bright. I know. Thrifting taught me to experiment with color and some other lessons too.

I also made a framed earring organizer that was the perfect addition to the accessory wall.

Confession time. I have an unfortunate love of sack dresses. Sure, I'll own up to culottes and elastic waist . They fit my body well so I'm not ashamed. Like 99.9% of people, shapeless sack dresses are not a good look. I made a few updates to turn my latest comfy thrift find into something less slummy mummy.

The following content is intended for readers who are 21 or older. #SummerToGo One of my favorite things to do in summer is to gather with friends. Nothing fancy. An unplanned picnic in the yard. Just hanging out in the middle of the day soaking up sunshine. It's fun to casually drop in on friends but certainly not empty handed. Deliciously cool strawberry panna cotta and chilled Black Box Wine is all it takes to get the impromptu party started.

I love it when I put together a completely thrifted outfit. The jewelry, the clothes, and the shoes are all from the thrift store. My makeup and clothes are literally sliding off in this heat but I won't let that stop the party. 

There are times when the thrift gods bless you with a gorgeous print skirt and then you try it on and discover it doesn't fit the waist. Sometimes it's just a little tight. Sometimes it just doesn't fit! Were the waistlines smaller in the 80s? Was the shapewear better? I bought my precious print skirt anyway because..I'm going to lose weight..have my tummy tucked..not eat for the day and other such lies I tell myself.

I found a vintage red and white perfectly broken in gingham shirt at Goodwill. Gingham isn't what I naturally gravitate towards so I consulted Pinterest for inspiration. Of course, a Style Pantry pin was able to help me out.

My road trip to  Unclaimed Baggage  was an absolute blast and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience and I love my unique thrift haul. As you know, I'm partial to Goodwill and Salvation Army. Savers was my go to "fancy" thrift store (Super sad they are not in GA). I like the dirty and usually cheap thrift store and I went to Unclaimed Baggage expecting a beautifully lit, well organized and overpriced experience. It wasn't like that at all. It is a gorgeous store but the prices weren't that bad especially on the baubles.

Have you ever been so caught up in a shopping frenzy that you purchase something that is clearly damaged? I do. Had I took my own vacation thrift shopping advice, this would not have happened. Since I ignored myself, I turned ripped pants into pom pom shorts.

One trend I'm glad to see inching its way into fashionista closets is culottes. I have been a fan for a while. Shout out to the crazy looking Eiffel Tower pair. They were my favorite until I thrifted the high waisted vintage lime green poly pair I wear today.

I do love a jumpsuit so I had to bring home the palazzo pant version I found at Salvation Army. I discovered that some of my favorite bloggers are digging the jumpsuit trend too. Now we all have inspiration for rocking this comfortable and stylish piece.
