One of my first Instagram shop purchases was this dusty rose colored 80's surplus dress. I love the tulip shape and drapiness of it. Plus, there are pockets! It had huge shoulder pads that were a tad bit too much for me so I cut those out. It did not take away from the shaping. It's still a great dress. Instagram has added a new level to my secondhand shopping. I still enjoy the thrill of the hunt so it's not my main source of shopping but it is satisfying.

I love to wear my husband's button down shirts. They're so cozy and perfect to wrap up in. Let's not forget Rhianna rocked one with a belt and heels and turned it into a fashion statement. They're a very versatile piece. Not to mention the durable quality that seems to be a standard in men's clothing. I picked up one of my very own during my last thrift trip then I refashioned it to make it more of a relaxed tunic to fit my everyday style.

I'm still in love with my diy kimono and glad to be getting lots of use out of it with the chilly mornings and nights we're having. It matches everything in my closet. I found some great kimono style inspiration from some of my fellow bloggers and can't wait to try them all!

I was excited to rock a denim on denim look with DVF ankle boots. I went outside thinking I was dressing for a crisp fall day but it turned into a sunny and warmish day. I haven't worn the Zara top since the beginning of spring. It was an impulse buy from a trip to Miami.

I bought a thrift store skirt even though it was a firm "no way girl" at the thrift store mirror. One of the advanced age thriftanistas unapologetically told me " it was unflattering to my figure ". I liked the fruit bouquet embroidered patch so I bought it anyway. It was a too big elastic waist skirt and now it's a fitted asymmetrical wrap skirt.

I have made peace with leggings as pants. They are comfortable. They are cozy. They are not pants but I'm ok with that. I don't normally go for thrift store leggings as they are likely thin ones in poor condition. I thrifted a pair with leather panels. Thus, giving them pant like qualities. I decided they were worth the $1 I paid for them.

I found my favorite pair of jeans this summer. They are the best jeans ever because they have all of my favorite details - high waist, super comfortable, and figure flattering. It can be labor intensive to pull and try on so many pairs at one time. It's worth it though. Great jeans are hard to come by. So far, my summer find is the only pair in my new size that have worked out so well. It's time for me to laser focus my search again. It's getting chilly out there. Great prices. Even expensive designer jeans are fairly cheap when purchased secondhand. I've spotted Joe's, Tory Burch, Citizens of Humanity, Hudson and AG in addition to lower cost brands like Gap, Old Navy and Levi's. All costing between $5 - $20. Most are pre-washed. Have you found a perfect pair of jeans and then have them change after the first wash? They no longer fit the same and the color isn't what it used to be. It's a piece that I'll be able to wear all year.  I can belt it and wear it as a dress or a lightweight coat. There's enough room to pile on layers in cooler months. I can use as a beach coverup when summer rolls around again. There are many options with a kimono jacket.

Kept it simple in tank and vintage Levi's for the debut of my self made kimono. We're having some chilly mornings and nights and I needed something to give me a little bit of warmth and could also easily fold up in purse during the day. The large sleeves of a kimono also offer extra room to add multiple layers when the temperature does dip low this winter.

Word on the street or according to Buzzfeed, there is a 90s fashion trend revival. While I loathe most of what was on this listicle and 90s clothes in general, I do like the return of the choker necklace. In less than 30 minutes, I was able to bang out a few diy ones.

I discovered the wonders of the stretchy skirt over the summer. It is a godsend garment that I think every closet needs but especially moms on the go. Getting little ones ready for school may not leave enough time to make yourself fly for the day. The stretchy skirt is an easy button.

My closet is still undergoing a major overhaul as I can't fit half of the things in my closet anymore. This collaboration with thredUP is right on time. I perused all of the amazing secondhand finds and narrowed my selection down to a fab shift day dress, a colorful skirt, and gold metallic pumps. Fall is coming. I'm planning to be fresh dressed and flirty.
