10 Questions for a Thriftanista - Rebound Boutique

Happy Friday! I met this month's featured thriftanista via Thriftanista Social Club . Tracey is a seasoned thrifter with a great eye for styling with color and finding quality treasure. She's also the owner of online resale shop, Rebound Boutique. Let's check her out! Name Tracey Location Minnesota Favorite places to shop? The places I choose to shop is more about customer service and being in a clean organized environment...Salvation army - Bloomington Minnesota, Goodwill St. Louis Park Minnesota, Value Village (vintage only) Brooklyn Park Minnesota.

3 Ways to Glam Up Without Heels

I don't feel like I'm "killing it" in a dress unless I'm wearing heels. A high heeled pump make stumpy legs look longer and leaner. It's more pulled together. However, I am quick to ditch my beliefs and even the hangups for the sake of practicality and comfort most of the time.

{SAHM Style} Mom on Vacation

Violet and I are on vacation in Atlanta so I brought all of my casually cute mom clothes. I picked up this floral pink shirtdress before leaving for vacation. Totally random purchase just right for a lounging by the pool kind of day.

{Thrift Haul} Style Swap Chicago

Style, Meet Life hosted a marvelous swap party at Heritage Littles . In case you don't remember, I met Jessica 2 weeks ago at  Style & Snapshots  and she told me about her upcoming event. I'm so pleased our paths crossed. It doesn't get any better than an event with mimosas, sweet treats, and a style swap!

{SAHM Style} Mint Jeans + White Tee

I've been using some of my favorite Pinterest pins for SAHM casual style and thrift inspiration. I thought for sure mint jeans would go into white whale status but nope. I caught the fish. Not only did I find a pair at a swap party but they are also  ankle length (longer on my short stumps) and  J. Crew!  I didn't have to pay retail  prices though. Sometimes the thrift gods really do listen.

{DIY} No Sew Dress Refashion

Rather than giveaway a  peasant dress  I haven't worn in 2 years, I decided to do a quick no sew refashion. I removed the sleeves even though they they were a big attraction for me in the beginning as I prefer to keep arms covered even in summer. It soon became apparent that they were far too big and pouffy. I can't wear it with a jacket. Plus, they're a little dated. Normally not a problem for me but I was in a creative mood yesterday. It's very simple to do and was less than 30 minutes to complete.

Savers Look for Less Thrift Challenge

Beyond excited to have received gift certificates to complete the Savers Look for Less thrift challenge. My mission was to create a stylish and fashionable look for $60. I spent approximately $40 on a look that would cost over $500 retail!

Orange is the New Black

Orange is a popular color this season. It can be a hard color to wear though. You can't really wear it subtly. It's orange. It's going to pop!  For me, the challenge is wearing without black or white (the easy route) as it's very Halloween chic (if there is such a thing).  Today's look is one color away from being a candy corn.

{City} Style & Snapshots Soiree

Last week, I attended the 4th annual Style & Snapshots Soiree hosted by Neighborhood Parent's Network (NPN) and Sassy Moms in the City . Sassy Moms in the City Go Red event was my first post motherhood outing so I always say yes to any event hosted by them because they rock! Also, you know I love a party that ends early enough to make my 11p date with my bed. My outfit: rhinestone earrings from Peonia Handmade ,  Savers thrift store tee and BCBG Max Azria shoes (not pictures) and Joe Fresh skirt gifted to me by my mommy. {SAHM Style} Mom in a Mini Dress

It's rare for me to put on a leg show. This is what happens when it's 90° in Chicago. Moms pull out the extra tiny clothes. Or is it just me? Mini striped shirtdress is not appropriate for the playground. However, it does work well for al fresco lunch with my favorite girl. It's the perfect way to enjoy the one day summer preview.

Greedy Mom's Guide to Eating Ice Cream Without Sharing

This  delicious treat  has been compensated as a part of a social shopper amplification for #CollectiveBias and #NewFavorites HÄAGEN-DAZS ice cream. Please don't judge my greedy ways. Surely I'm not the only mom who saves the good stuff for myself. While breezing through Walmart, I discovered new flavors of HÄAGEN-DAZS gelato. I could have just picked up caramelized banana chip but I'm a greedy mom. I grabbed pistachio too. Gelato is my weakness (and cheese) and I don't like to share. This treat is far too decadent and makes a perfect mom treat.

Glen Plaid Trousers and Silver Pumps

Wearing a few of my favorite things in an outfit I didn't see coming together. Glen plaid is so workplace and silver pumps are for the party. Just throwing on clothes without thinking about how they go together can be hit or miss. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. This works. At least I think so.

10 Questions for a Thriftanista - Natasha B.

Happy Friday! Today's featured Thriftanista is Ms. Natasha B of Fashionably Fab. This is truly a treat because I absolutely love her thrift style, her diy style, and her overall fashion. She is definitely fashionably fab and always impeccably dressed. You are going to love her thrift finds! Sidenote: She's met Project Runway's Tim Gunn. How cool is that?
