Thriftanista in the City

I am ready to show more leg and bare my arms. The new spring line is fresh and on trend. I am absolutely in love with all of the yummy looking pastel accessories and as well as the array of styles to choose from -- florals, brights and so much more.

One of the great things about thrifting is that you can feel good about experimenting with styles and trends that you normally would not try. For me that is overalls. I love a jumpsuit but I've never owned a pair of bib overalls.

I love thrifting. I love memes so the culture of thrift inspired me to create a few of my own. Can you relate to any of these scenarios?  Are all thrifters like this?

All the way back in 2012, I thrifted a vintage Egon von Furstenberg jumpsuit. He was the husband of Diane -- creator of the ultra flattering wrap dress. Egon was known as the Prince of High Fashion. This piece is one of those 80s polyester jumpsuit that were likely a dime a dozen back then. I wouldn't necessary call it 'high fashion' but it's pretty fabulous. Vintage jumpsuits are thrift store gold. I like the vibrant yellow gold color of this one and it has pockets. Pockets are always a good idea. That's why I've held on to it for so long with very little actual wearing. I gave it a little perk up juice to get that one final wear before adding it to thethriftanista.shop .

If the trench coat fits, then you must buy it. Trench coats are so fruitful at the thrift but finding one that fits my short arms is no easy feat. Anytime I find sleeves that don't hang down over my hands, I grab.

The blogging world has changed a lot since I made a list of my favorite thrifting blogs . Microblogging on social media accounts has definitely increased and I'm finding so many drool worthy Instagram accounts and hashtags to follow. I love all of the thrifty tales, outfits, and hauls all mingled in with slices of day to day life.
