DIY Grape Coconut Oil Lip Balm

Matte lipsticks are my favorite and my go to makeup. They can be pretty drying so I like to add a layer of lip balm first before applying to my lips. Because I like making things and lip balm is super easy to make, I whipped up a quick batch of grape flavor lip balm with coconut oil inspired by the flavors of Welch's Tropical Berry Grape Juice made with Coconut Water . It tastes and smells fruity.

5 Reasons to Leave a Designer Find at the Thrift

Finding designer pieces at the thrift store is very exciting. So exciting that you may end up purchasing some less than stellar treasure. Even with the dirt cheap, you still have to be discerning. I have brought home my fair share of designer thrift that turned out to be pretty craptastic. To help avoid such pitfalls, I suggest you leave it in the store for the following reasons:

Styling Jean Joggers for Southern Fall

I moved to Atlanta strictly for the weather. I feel wonderfully blessed in fall when I can still wear my summer clothes. I also have the option of wearing jeans without feeling like I'm in a sweatbox. I thrifted the jean joggers during my Chicago trip . They weren't something I was intentionally looking for but once I stepped in them I knew they were what my closet needed.

Sequin Tube Tops Give Great Energy

True vintage is getting rarer and rarer at the local thrift store. I was surprised to find this classic glam tube top at Goodwill. I didn't hesitate to bring it home. So much color and so much sparkle. Sequins aren't a practical purchase at all. One thread loose and a whole row of sequins when fall off. It's the risk you take with every wear. They are super fun to wear though. They give such awesome energy to any look.

How to Snack Smart When Trying To Keep It Tight And Right

Part of the reason I thrift shop is because I don't want to settle for bland clothes with crap fabric. Even if that was my goal, I could find it in a thrift store and much better prices. I do not want to compromise my style or my taste. Not with my fashion choices and definitely not with my food choices. No bland foods for me. I care about what I put in my body but I will not sacrifice taste. I just snack smarter.  Liberté yogurt  helps me do that.

10 Ways to Refashion Thrift Finds For Fall

The morning chill was an unwelcome surprise this morning. I can't believe that summer is on the way out. It's time to pack up the sandals and shorts and pull out the boots and sweaters. Fall and winter are not my favorite seasons. There's all those added layers needed to stay warm. I do enjoy reconnecting with some of my favorite thrift store pieces. I like to imagine the ways I can restyle, refresh, and refashion my old clothes. Some of my favorite diy refashion tutorials are below: 1. Upgrade a skirt by adding pockets. My pockets were my purse most of the summer. I'm going back to the big mom bag but that doesn't mean I don't want deep pockets. I'll need somewhere to warm chilly fingers.

Vintage Draped Harem Jumpsuit

I did not need another jumpsuit in my closet but I simply could not leave Goodwill without this one. It has harem pants, lots of draping and embellished shoulders. It's so outrageous and completely impractical like all jumpsuits.
