Lounging Around in Vintage Maxi

Sears calls it loungewear. I call it a muumuu and one of the most fab thrift finds ever. I love muumuus, caftans, and maxi dresses. On extremely hot days, this is all I want to wear. It's a keeper. This is the kind of dress I want to wear all summer. It's so airy and light. The fabric just floats and sways when I walk.

DIY Metallic Block Heels

Sometimes I'm a little to quick with my trigger finger when I shop online. This time my mom gifted me with an old Francesca's credit she wasn't going to use. I saw someone on Instagram with a cute pair of peep toe booties and I went looking for them. They were sold out so I bought something similar. When they arrived, I was underwhelmed. Instead of going through the return process, I decided to DIY. Metallic reflective blocks heels give these simple black shoes a fresh new look.

Peachy Keen Spring Dress

I've been doing a lot of online thrifting lately. I love to search out buried treasures in person but online is so convenient. They're always open and ready to go when I'm in need of some thrift therapy. I'm looking to fill my summer closet with easy dresses that I can throw on. This peachy knit one fit the bill perfectly.

7 Denim DIYs To Try

I'm so glad we're in the age of diy denim. Denim is a great fabric to wear and play around with. Because it's such a resilient fabric, it's perfect for distressing and embellishing.  It looks great most of the time. There was that one time Topshop sold those clear knees mom jeans . It wasn't good. Other than that, denim is a good choice for everyday casual to a night out on the town.

Never Say Never White Linen Dress

Why would anyone thrift a white linen dress? It is the opposite of carefree summer living. You can't wear it to a barbecue with all of the bbq sauce flying around. The wrinkles are a pain to iron out and will return immediately upon movement. White linen is not a good idea but here's why I thrifted the dress anyway.

10 Reasons To Visit Martinique

As we inch our way towards summer, I am thinking more and more about new places to visit and explore. I am a fun in the sun kind of girl so I will definitely be looking at spots in the Caribbean which is why I'm excited to partner with Martinique Promotional Bureau and Norwegian Air to highlight all of the reasons to visit Martinique. Martinique is a Caribbean island that is an overseas department of France with French and West Indian influences. For a small island there is much to see and do. This is definitely the place to be for outdoor exploration and lazing about with fruity drink in hand. It's the best of both worlds.

5 Ways to Squeeze Exercise Into Busy Lives

I won't beat a dead horse but I'm still not feeling formal exercise routines. It must be done though and I'm proud of the shape my body has been whipped into. If I can't have a proper exercise session, I make sure that I'm moving more and staying active. Music makes exercise less painful. I started out with earbuds with a cord that constantly caught on things and ripped the buds from my ears. I moved on to wireless headphones that wouldn't stay on my head especially after I cut my locs. They were also bulky and quite heavy. Therefore, I was extremely pleased with JLab Audio's generous gift of Epic2 Bluetooth Wireless Sport Earbuds. Whether long or short, my workouts are much more enjoyable.

Just A Dollar Vintage Dress

Facebook armed with all the data they have on me saw fit to suggest I like the Just A Dollar thrift store page. Not only did I like the page, I had to go check it out for myself. I wasn't expecting much for a dollar but I was pleasantly surprised. I ended up spending thirteen dollars in a haul that includes this vintage grecian style dress.

Thrift Style Tropical Floral Flair

I got real excited about hot weather today. All of my winter clothes are still out so I threw on the Goodwill spring thrift haul crop tank a little earlier than expected.  There's some amazing colors going on in the floral print. It's definitely an eye catcher.
