Thrift + Style: Bright Yellow Pants
I've said it before but I will say it again. Thrifting is a great way to experiment with trends without breaking the bank.
Bright yellow pants aren't for the tame though. Don't wear yellow pants if you're trying to camouflage your lower half. All eyes will be on that gorgeous...sunshine! Having a serious love of the color yellow is helpful too. How can you look anything less than stunning wearing your favorite color, right? If yellow is your power color, this is the trend for you!
Thrift Tips
If you're all set to pop some thrift store tags and find a pair of bright yellow pants, keep these thrift tips in mind:
- this is a trend you may not like after a wear or two so buy a $5 and under pair so you won't feel so bad about donating them when you've gone off them.
- look for a "fancy" thrift store with all the garments color coded, that will make finding your perfect yellow pants a cakewalk.
- look for a pair that looks good on the rack that hangs well and isn't wrinkled or shrunken.
- a well made pair of pants are always in style so if the quality is good, invest the extra dollars to have them professionally cleaned and tailored to fit you. You may find yourself wearing them all year around!

Style Tips
Awesomesauce! You found THE perfect pair of yellow pants. What do you wear them with? Anything you want! However, here are some style tips to get you started:
- your pants are yellow, it's ok to turn down the rest of your look!
- go monochromatic but be careful. This could go very wrong if all of your yellows are the same color. Big Bird. Giant banana. Need I say more?
- color block it with another bold color. (my personal favorite)
- pair with neutral colors like grey or tan.
- go easy on a black and yellow color scheme. Too much black would be too harsh and bumblebee-like.
- see my mellow yellow Pinterest board for style inspiration.
