I thrifted a sheer dress in Austin for $4. I thought I could wear it as a tunic. Instead, I found this to be a great opportunity to wear a vintage Vanity Fair slip that's pretty enough to wear as a skirt.
I bought the dress even though it was missing (I assume) the slip dress. The drawstring waist, bib front, and swiss dots spoke to me despite the cream color which is known to attract all possible dirt and stains to me.
I think it would look great as a tunic too. I bought a sheer maxi dress from the thrift store and wore it with leggings -- another great option for this dress.
The slip is a mix of pastel colored floral print and trimmed in lace. It's so dainty and pretty. I must find more sheer clothes to wear it. Luckily, the thrift store is a great place to find dresses that need a bit of tweaking. This slip is an easy tweak.
I kept the look in the sweet and girly realm with my floral print sandals. The gold heel add a teeny bit of edge.
