I found a thrift store so good that I did not want to tell anyone about it. It was small, clean and fairly priced. There was a nice designer section that was higher priced but still way below retail. Most of it with tags still attached. I heard the thrift angels sing when I turned to leave the store and spotted a mannequin wearing this vibrant pink Amanda Uprichard top. I quickly removed it and added it to my pile.
The top has all of my favorite colors. It has balloon sleeves and that long tunic length I like. It's so pretty and it was only $5. Amanda Uprichard tops retail over $100.
I normally try to stay away from fussy clothes so it's rare for me to buy silk. I'm such a stain magnet. A never make it through the day without a makeup smudge, a splash of coffee or a red wine spot on my clothes.
It was a perfect day to wear a breezy tunic. I didn't turn into a sweaty betty and I didn't have to wear a coat and cover up my pretty blouse. I didn't have any real plans other than helping V with her Black History project but I was dying to wear all of the gorgeous color. It's been so gloomy outside. The sun has been MIA for an entire week.
I threw on another thrift store find - high waist black pants. I never say no to high waist even when the pant legs are almost twice as long as my legs.
I did the the quick and dirty alteration on them. I cut them down and let them fray like jeans.
I'd like to eventually wear the tunic with white shorts on a sandy beach somewhere. Hopefully, I can keep it stain free until then. But what will happen when I pair it with white?
