Classic blazers are one of those thrift store staples that every closet needs. One of the great thing about blazers is that it can become a coat when you trying to get cute and don't want to drag around the big puffy that is so needed right now. I like mine because I can stuff several layers underneath it and it all fits.
Blazers are definitely one of those pieces that you should seek out at the thrift. There are many to choose from. Find ones that have good fit and good bones with natural fibers. You'll likely have it forever. Trends repeat over and over so you don't have to worry about it become outdated. Even if you don't pull it out for a couple of years, you'll likely end up coming back to it.
I struck thrift goal with this blazer because of its extreme layering abilities. It's a thin wool and very warm. It's a great staple piece. Black and simple. It's old but it's classic with clean lines. The gold buttons give it a higher quality look than standard plastic ones.
The sweater is one of the 17 I thrifted a couple of months ago. It's comfortable and long. I could technically wear it as a dress if I were going to go sit somewhere with a glass of wine. For running errands, I wore leggings underneath.
The leggings are a sweater knit and have nice leather panel side details but I had to cover them up with the knee high boots. Layering helps block out some of the chill. I'm glad the sun decided to make an appearance and provide additional warmth.
