I cannot deal with this cold snap. I'm hanging out indoors mainly in velour muumuu and sweats. There's nothing to see or do with my thrifted wardrobe right now. While keeping cozy inside, I've been taking a few sips of my homemade Irish Cream to keep me warm. It's delicious and creamy. It's the perfect drink to enjoy in front of the fireplace underneath a thick blanket.
I was introduced to Irish Cream by a family friend who used to make a batch for all of the ladies on Christmas. I enjoyed it so much that I now make my own. I hand bottles out to friends and family regardless of gender.
Ingredients
3 cups whiskey
2 14oz cans sweetened condensed milk
1½ cups cream
4 tablespoons chocolate syrup
2 teaspoons instant coffee
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 teaspoons almond extract
Blend ingredients together until thoroughly mixed. Pour into a bottle, carafe, or right into a glass. I like it served room temperature but it's just as tasty over ice or in coffee. Enjoy!
Serves 8.
