Sequin Tops Cure Winter Blues

Sequins make me happy. Snow and cold, not so much. Winter is not my season. I was feeling kinda iffy with this cold snap and decided to pull out the sequin tunic top that has been chilling in my closet for a couple of months now. I bought it at an estate sale with intent to sale so I never wore it. I thought it was a bit costume-y for me...says the girl rocking horse print pants.

As you know, I'm no stranger to sequins. I believe I've worn them more than a handful of times over here. My favorites being green sequins with shorts, diy sequin skirt, and the the sequin crop top. However, I thought the chevron multi colored sequins were just to loud. They are. In a good way, though. I feel perky! Or maybe it's the frigid cold weather and no coat talking.

I tell ya there has been a nagging voice in my head saying wear it. I kid you not. I did and it was an instant mood changer. So many bright fun colors and the amazing sparkle of the sequins! It makes me want to shimmy, wear shiny spandex leggings, grab V's Dollar Tree microphone and belt out a Diana Ross tune! If the spirit of a person resides in their clothes, then I know the woman who owned this was drenched in awesome sauce.

As I am doing my day to day routine today, I kept the rest of my outfit low key. Jeans and boots are all that's necessary. Ok, and maybe a little more sparkle on the ears. It's simple, fabulous and perfect for a holiday brunch with the girls or a mug of hot chocolate at the kitchen table which is where I'm headed.
