Holiday Gift Guide for Thrifters

Tis the season for holiday gift guides in blogland. I thought I would contribute to the fun by creating a guide for the Thriftanista in your life. Basically me but someone else may be able to draw inspiration from it so I'm sharing it.

Thriftanistas do not live on thrifting alone. Thrifting is an all out fun fest for me. It's not just about the finds. It's the hunt too.  However, I like fresh new shiny store bought retail too. It would be great to not have to de-stink and disinfect that thrift store essence. Also, some things just can't be found in a thrift store.

So Santa Baby if you're listening hurry down the chimney *insert sex pot face* with these fabulous gifts for a Thriftanista!

1. DSLR Camera
Yeah, I suffer from camera envy. *whining* All of my favorite bloggers have one.

I don't think I'll miraculously become a great photographer or anything. I just want to play with all the pretty buttons and make promises of reading the manual.

2. New android phone
This is another big ticket gadget. I love my phone and I have it in my hand all the time. It's pretty much attached to me however my current phone has lost it's GPS and I'm so lost (teehee) without it. Now I want a fresh new Google Nexus S. Yep, I would buy it all over again or rather I wouldn't mind if Santa Baby got it for me *wink, wink*.

3. Shoes
Thrifting decent shoes? Not so hard. Thrifting shoes I want? A tad harder. There's no "taking in or letting out" an ill fitting shoe.

I've had these Sergio Rossi shoes pinned for months. Sadly, they are no longer available on DSW. I guess placing it in your virtual cart doesn't hold them. :)

Now that I look at these a plain back bootie and some craft store trim = Sergio Rossi inspired.

4. Sally Hansen gel nail polish kit
Sally Hansen products are the best and this is just one of those new products I want to check out. I would love to have a polish last more than a few days. Not always but sometimes.

5. Joe's jeans
I have thrifted 6 pairs of Joe's Jeans this year. None in my size. I can tell just from the pairs I've squeezed in that they would work perfect for my body.

 6. BlogHer '13 ticket
It's the blogger conference of the year (or at least to me)! It's also in Chicago next year.

8. Gift cards to my favorite thrift stores
Of course, it all comes back to thrifting. I can't help it. I am a big fan of gift card giving and I love receiving gift cards. Receiving gift cards to my favorite thrift spots would be great.

Awesome ideas - especially the Nikon! I've had that on my list for a long time; I think this year it'll be mine :). The other gift is a Celine Mini Luggage handbag. I need it ( maybe not need, but really really want one (lol)).

Great gift guide. I don't have anything on my list this year. I've been so busy I haven't had to think about it let alone shop. SMH Tomorrow is the beginning of my "holiday prep"

Great picks! I don't really have an official list but I could certainly go for any one of these items! In particular the BlogHer Conference (I've been looking for good Blogging Conferences in 2013)!! :)

THE gift for me would be a new sewing machine. I've been looking a Singer that has all the bells and whistles. I'd faint if Santa left that bad boy under the tree.
