Girl's Night Out: Bloggers and Jazz

As I sit on my couch watching television, I'm remembering last Friday's much needed night out. It's a week later and I'm still thinking about it. Girl's nights out are so much sweeter now. I savor them all. Post-baby I can count on one hand how many times I've experienced the night life.

I wasn't sure what the night would bring so I pulled together a casual look with an animal print, of course. There's always a party when I put on an animal print.

Top, belt, and necklace thrifted
Cargo leggings
Black oxford shoes

I started the night at BlogaDelicous - a blog networking event hosted by Little TechGirl held at Kenmore Studios. I was able to meet some of my twitter friends face to face. Most of my friends live in the computer so I'm always thrilled when I have the opportunity to see them in person.

Me and GirlGetALife were late but we did see the end of a ladies vs. gentlemen cook off.

I just love the facial expression of the guy on the right. I don't know what caused it though.
Anyone care to caption it?
Random but why do all guys tend to do this crotch hold in pictures?
I won a little something for V. I'm doing a lot of winning lately. I should play the lottery.

It's a noisy little thing. It may go missing real soon.
GirlGetALife fell in love.

It's a beauty. They make a lovely pair.
We had a lovely tapas dinner along with a carafe of a red/white sangria mix at Meza. There are no pictures because I was too busy getting in touch with my inner piggy. The food and sangria was amazingggg. O my gosh. I have to go back there soon. SN: As we were entering the restaurant a homeless guy told us we looked like that sh*t they dropped on Japan.....the BOMB! The best compliment from a bum ever.

After that I was ready to dance away some of the carnage. We went in search of the party and could not find it. The regular spot closed down. We ventured out to a new spot and it was closed. We ended up falling into the Green Mill - a well known Chicago jazz club. It wasn't what I had in mind for a wild girl's night out but it was good. There was a very nice vibe. I love live music. Just like wine, I've never come across bad live music. Mediocre but never total crap.

The parking was inexpensive and nearby. We found seats in this packed joint (always a plus) and I drank expensive cheap champagne.

I really need to work on my posture. I really don't have a hunchback.
I got home a little after 2a. That's a post-baby record. Heyyyy! Now if I can just find the reggae party. I miss the dance floor.

Have a great weekend, Friends!
Don't forget to tell me all about it.

@Kimbunnii thank you. I think it was someone's cast off sewing project. It has some minor flaws.
