I have been searching for a mango/papaya color polish. Sinful Colors' Let's Meet (love that name, you know I love a meetup) was pretty close. The color wasn't as deep as I thought it would be. It kind of blends with my skin tone and looks more like a neutral shade on me. There are some beautiful shimmery bits in it too. It looks great in the sun. If you spot a good yellow orange-y color, let me know.
After reading Ellen's comment about using a bonder, I went out and purchased Orly's Bonder. My polish did last a bit longer and chipped less. The polish looked pretty good around day 4. Day 5 I washed my hair so it looked a mess after. I'm going to cut my nails even shorter and see if I can get a little bit more wear out of the next polish. |

I got a "real" manicure and pedicure today--at a spa, not a strip mall (though I don't go to those places much any more either.) I've been wearing OPI's Dim Sum Plum all summer, and put it back on today. Perfect summer color for me, why mess with it?
Anyway, I forgot I mentioned the bonder, but it does seem to help a lot--and I've used and like Orly's too.
Why would washing your hair mess up your nails?
I bought some Orly's bonded about a month ago. I was reluctant at first because of the price, but it is totally worth it.
I've been obsessed with polish lately and OMG I'm gonna have to shop around for this one because it is fierce!
Love it.
Thanks Ladies!
@Ellen love the name of your polish! When I wash my hair all the lathering up definitely tears the polish off.
@Mimi I definitely see an improvement since I started using it. I was using opi's base coat which is also pretty expensive.
@OurLifeUnreheared I used to stick with reds, now I try them all. Right now I have on a green color...never thought I would be wearing that color. It's a nice accessory. I prefer it to jewelry.
Love that color! I can't wear oranges and yellows but that is hot. Most of the time I wear black or dark brown but I really want to try other colors ~ maybe a red or something.
Thanks! I wear dark colors in the winter even though though they don't really compliment my skin. I use to only wear bright red. It looks fabulous always.
