This is a fruit from my Black Friday thrift haul -- an Anna Sui wrap dress. It has great colors and a relaxed, comfortable fabric. Can't beat a $3 price tag either. Much better than $400. I put it in my maybe pile because of the lack of bust coverage and ended up keeping it because it was so cheap.
While thumbing through the rack, I felt this fabric and knew it was special. It's a super soft cotton and silk blend. I found the diagonal, vertical, and horizontal stripes mash up appealing too. I've always had a thing for wrap dresses but often times they don't fit into my stay at home mom life. I rarely have a chance to get "dressed up" anymore so I'm always pleased when I find a casual day dress.
Last year when I thrifted the dress, I hadn't found the perfectly matching Cosabella camisole yet. I strolled past the lingerie rack and the color drew me over to it. My goal is to add more camisoles and tanks to my closet. It's always last on my list but I complain about needed one quite often. This one blends in seamlessly with the dress. It's mesh so it's a very light layer too.
I could care less about holding out until Memorial Day to wear white. My jacket was exactly the right match for a sunny yet chilly spring day. It also camouflaged the post Mexican brunch food baby quite well. I usually go with denim but I thought the white really made the color combination pop.
Like camisoles and tank tops, my closet was lacking basic black pumps. I finally purchased a pair with a classic shape and a manageable heel. It will solve so many closet struggles. Whether casual or dressed up, the pump will match it all.
