Cleaning room by room with Pine-Sol

This post is sponsored by Pine-Sol® Clean & Disinfect with Pine-Sol®: The Powerful Scent of Clean." I was compensated for this post as a member of Clever Girls Collective, but the content is all my own.

Remember when I blogged about my new clean house routine? Cleaning a room a day? I sort of slid off of the schedule and it has been chaos. When my space is a mess, I feel a mess. This weather has been spectacular so I've been taking Little Miss around town and I've missed a few days weeks of cleaning.

I actually enjoy cleaning once I get going. I find it relaxing. Why don't I do it more often? Well, my first priority is to Violet and she is very high maintenance. Weird. I thought baby wrangling would get easierrrrr. Kidding. A little.

I especially like cleaning the bathroom MINUS toilet, blech! I love taking a toothbrush to baseboard corners and clearing out the dirt. Yes, dirt accumulates there often. I like cleaning the floor on hands and knees. You get a better view of the job at hand. SN for bloggers: the last couple of sentences are going to make for interesting stat search term reading. I like seeing the tub sparkle. I like that fresh clean smell the best.

Bedrooms are easy peasy. Mostly it's just straightening up and removing the clothes (all mine) strewn everywhere. Make the beds. Sweep and dust.

The kitchen living room is the tough job. This is where the paper mounds build. The baby stuff clutters and grows here. Plus, a never ending stream of dirty dishes. This is probably a 2 or 3 times a day job but I think I can get by with a once a week deep clean.

I'm laying out another plan of action so I can really get in the groove of forming a habit. Here goes:

Monday - Living room/kitchen, wash / fold load of laundry
Tuesday - Our bedroom, clean diapers
Wednesday - Violet's bedroom and hallway
Thursday - En suite bathroom, wash diapers
Friday - Guest Violet's bathroom, wash / fold load of laundry
Saturday - wash / fold load of laundry
Sunday - clean diapers

I want to clear the clutter - literally and figuratively. I also want to pass on good cleaning habits to V. She's already a pro at emptying the dishwasher, putting lint in the trash and vacuuming. She's a bit of a Messy Bessie though when it comes to organizing her books and putting  her toys away. I'll give her a pass since she's only one and a half!  :P

What's your cleaning routine? Are you a little extreme when it comes to cleaning?

My husband does most of the cleaning, and if I do any, he usually resdoes it. You would think I'd be bothered by that, but it's not criticsm, he just can't help himself.

I do like to vacuum. It's instant gratification!

I love routines and things people do to conquer clutter. I really don't have a routine but I do wash laundry almost every day.

I can't believe how our laundry loads have increased with the addition of little bitty baby clothes.
