My black Friday thrifting was insanely fruitful this year. My thrift haul has a retail value over $1K. I visited Goodwill, Park Ave Thrift, and Uptown Cheapskate. I spent $125 but I didn't feel back about blowing the budget at all. I found a few high quality items.
Uptown Cheapskate was a new store for me. I usually stick to thrift stores but since it was Black Friday and they had 20% off, I ventured in. Prices weren't that much different from the Goodwill stores out here. It was just smaller and better organized. There was a lot of juniors sizing to sift through but I manged to find familiar brands that I knew I could rely on for a good fit.
The YA Los Angeles dress was super soft and comfortable. It's a perfect everyday casual dress.
I wasn't particularly looking for stonewashed jeans but my other pair of vibrant miu jeans are my favorite and these have the same leggings stretch and high waist.
Ann Taylor is a another good fit for me. These pants are a ponte knit with nice faux leather trims and a grosgain ribbon waistband.
I bought Gap jeans because they tend to work for me and I have been looking for black jeans to add to my closet.
My next stop was Park Avenue Thrift. This store was familiar to me and I was looking forward to sifting through racks for gems. I got there and it was crazy busy. It was a coupon day and everything was 50% off! I did not have a coupon even though I'm on the mailing list but I was blessed by another thriftanista with a text forward of this golden ticket to my phone. So grateful because I was not going to return my high priced items. They were just too good.
The Diane von Furstenberg is not my size but I decided to buy it anyway. It's too big and I don't want to alter this one. I'll find someone who can fit it!
My favorite from my entire haul is the vintage leather dress. It's the kind of dress that requires strutting. It fits perfectly so it was meant to be.
The puffy coat wins a prize for being just puffy enough. It's not heavy and has a great oversized collar.
The Monique Lhuiller designer dress is new with the $598 price tag still attached. It has beautiful color and details. The inside is equally as pretty. It's very well made as you would expect for that price.
Sweaters are definitely needed in my closet. The line to checkout filled the entire sweater aisle so I continued shopping while I waited.
I was happy to find a Cynthia by Cynthia Rowley one with a cute print, a basic J. Crew sweater, and a vintage looking ski sweater that will be fun to wear with jeans. It's a extremely thick and warm. The $44 price tag was still attached.
My last stop was to Goodwill. I picked up a few more sweaters at Goodwill inlcuding an oversized Eileen Fisher sweater. The leather BB Dakota skirt and lime Rock & Republic jeans were extras that really weren't on my list or in my head at all but I thought they would be a good addition to my closet.
