What I don't want to see is Violet staring at her phone all summer long. She can't make or receive calls on her phone but she can play games and watch 1087676688 toy unboxing videos on Youtube if I let her. Since that's not going to happen, I have small adventures and events planned.
St. Louis tops my list as a road trip destination. The city offers so much in the way of family fun, food, and a little bit of fashion. Here what's on my must see and do list:
Butterfly House - walk through a thousand live tropical butterflies flying freely in a glass conservatory.
Laumeier Sculpture Park - living laboratory where artists and audiences explore the relationship between contemporary art and the natural environment.
Little Black Dress Event - explores the subject of mourning, as well as the transition of black from a symbol of grief to a symbol of high fashion.
Magic House - a children's museum with hands-on learning experiences that encourages experimentation, creativity and the development of problem-solving skills within a place of beauty, wonder, joy and magic.
National Blues Museum - explores the Blues and celebrates the genre as the foundation of all modern American music.
Grant Farm's Food Truck Fridays - food, live music, goat feeding, carousel rides, camel rides and more!
Ted Drewes Frozen Custard - over 80 years in business selling delicious frozen treats.
What is vacation without a little shopping. Thrift shopping, of course. I'm especially interested in checking out these unique shopping experience in St. Louis.
Ted Drewes Frozen Custard - over 80 years in business selling delicious frozen treats.
Goodwill St. Louis - it's not a real vacation until I've visited the local Goodwill. It's one of the ways I connect to a city.
Miki's Closet by Scholarshop - upscale boutique on wheels that supports St. Louis area students through The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis.
