{Thrift Haul} Thrifting Atlanta

I had a wonderful 8 day Atlanta vacation and went thrift store treasure hunting most of those days. As I said before, prices were higher and the quality good stuff was truly a dig for the most part.
I have nothing against digging but V is over it after about an hour so my time was limited. I did unearth beautiful jewel toned sequins, vintage Coach and Ferragamo plus some other goodies!

I spent approximately $100 and this is what I found while thrifting Atlanta:

Park Avenue Thrift (Marietta)  I visited on Memorial Day which also happened to be a special redplum (the coupon insert) coupon worth 50% off. I signed up for the Park Ave newsletter before I left but never received any kind of discounts. I saw a few possibilities but nothing I felt good about buying knowing it could be 50% less!

Goodwill (Marietta)  I loved this store. It felt very familiar to me. The prices were similar to Goodwill prices here. I was pleased to walk away with a laptop bag for E. It's the exact bag he asked me to find. I also bought a new with tags plaid dress and a maxi skirt in orange.

I like them both but was unsure about the style. They looked great when I tried them on and that always trumps trendy. I wore the orange maxi yesterday after making a small adjustment. It has a big cargo pocket near the right thigh. I thought it would look more chic without it so I took it off. Thinking of doing a similar surgery on the plaid dress. What do you think?

Park Avenue Thrift (Acworth) The selection was better than the Marietta store and I had a coupon from their Facebook page but nothing I bought was eligible. Womp. Womp. I did walk away with some unique finds -- a half moon Coach, a rastra belt, a bunny adorned dress, and floral culotte shorts that I found with the skirts. As you know, culottes are my thing.

The Cathedral of St. Philip Thrift House (Atlanta) Lots of upscale in this tiny little church thrift store. Ferragamo shoes are very popular in this community! The prices were the highest of any of the stores I visited but so was the quality of the merchandise. My only purchase was a pair of new Seychelles thong sandals. I gifted them to our fabulous ATL hostess.

Estate Sale (Roswell) I checked estatesales.net and found a sale that looked promising -- Coach and Gucci purses.  While there was some good merchandise, the prices were crazy and very close to retail. I left with a brand new pair of Loft sandals that I gifted to my BFF and Stuart Weitzman pumps that I will sell.

Heels on Wheels (Atlanta) I love the fashion truck experience and so glad I was able to check it out. I bumped into some of my favorites thriftanistas too! I walked away with a purple peplum sequin tube top. Hubba. Hubba. The prices aren't as cheap as the local thrift store but it's a well curated selection of stylish and unique finds.

Value Village (Atlanta) I've been to this store before and was pleased with the selection. Some of the prices though? I'm am  experiencing non-buyers remorse over a beautiful dress that was randomly priced at $12 which was more than the price of the other dresses. It was Spiegel brand and not new. I didn't understand and I made the decision to leave it behind. Le sigh. I want.

I did buy vintage Ferragamos to sell, paisley print J. Crew trousers, and a gold sequin Talbots top in perfect condition. Yay, more sequins!

As a sequin queen, I would have to say that you definitely scored with that piece. I love the pieces you did get. You and I have very similar style so for the most part I will say that you got a very nice selection. Can't wait to see them all styled.
