I've been waiting to pull out the perfect orange pun forever! My new finds from Goodwill gave me just the right opportunity. The orange blouse and pants are from the same thrift haul and work really well together as a complete look.
I love that the top is all business in front and party in back. It's a great piece to slip on and go. The fabric has a textured weave which adds more visual interest to the blouse. The back vent makes it quite breezy and a little bit sexy. It's a great piece for the beginning of spring.
Summer is going to come in strong so I'm not sure how long I will be wearing the long sleeves but I can definitely see this for fall and winter perhaps with a layering piece underneath.
I probably would not have bought the pants had it not been for the top. They're a bit dressy for my everyday life. They do have a nice figure flattering cut that are fuller in the thighs and hips. They're also petite so the length is just right too. I can now add Loft to my list of phenomenal fit.
The have adorable gold buttons that give a sailor pants vibe without all the extra fussy button. The retail price was $98 and on $6 at Goodwill.
Orange is one of my favorite colors. It really brings out the undertones in my skin which makes both of these pieces a pretty great treasure for an impromptu thrift store visit. I had to pay a steep Violet toll tax in Goodwill and Family Dollar in order to keep the six year old happy and comfortable.
I don't own orange shoes so I couldn't go completely monochromatic. Generally, I'm not ready for that much orange either. I'm glad I found some fab nude / neutral Corso Como pumps that keep me from orange-ing all the way out.
I wasn't crazy about the colorless color. It's too pale to be nude on me but it has a brownish hue that goes well with the orange colors. Of course, wood heels are my fave. The cushioned insole is a godsend. They provide a lot of arch support and still have some style to them.
