{Thrift Store Outfits} Vintage Candy Stripe Dress

I finally found a warmish day to break out this vintage dress from a thrift haul last year. Dolman sleeves and purple candy stripes are what attracted me to this lovely. It's perfect for an easy Sunday. It's airy and comfortably broken in. Surprisingly, it managed to hold on to its unique braided belt too.

Relaxed as this dress is, I still feel like I tried. A dress tends to do that. Luckily, this dress requires no ironing making it more appealing for a casual weekend day.

I can't tell what decade it's from but I'm guessing the 80s. I wish I had popped the collar and wore rad sunglasses for full effect but I was leaning to hard towards the 50s housewife vibe it's also giving. Next time.

Did I mention it has side pockets and the stripes are in the lengthening direction? This is one of those special finds that you just don't know how much you'll love until the first time you wear it.

I didn't go to far from home. We grilled since it was such a nice day. I wasn't in my wedge platform shoes very long. I could have gotten around fine in them though. They give great height without causing extreme toe pain.
