Tax season is here and I'm expecting a little money. I want to get the most out of the extra change that's why I will be splurging. Wisely, of course.
Maximize your Tax Refund It's not as costly as a vacation. It's more useful than the small treat. It's more tangible than a donation. With a little extra, this is the perfect time to visit your local Walmart and switch cell services for the better.

I like to splurge. I'm very good at treating myself. However, I am trying to do better in the new year. I'm more intentional about what I'm spending money on. I'm hitting up the thrift stores less and discovering what I can diy or find in my closet more.
I'm keeping retail therapy under control. I'm continuing to use Walmart Family Mobile as they have the lowest priced unlimited plans. I'm paying myself first and adding money to my savings. I'm giving when I can. These are a few ways I'm making good financial decisions and with the extra income from a tax refund, I plan to myself and others.

Pay it Forward Donate to a charity. To give is to receive. My personal favorite way of giving is by making a donation to Kiva. You can lend money via the Internet to low-income / underserved entrepreneurs and students in over 70 countries. It speaks to my own entrepreneurial goals and it makes me feel good to know I'm helping someone with those same goals. As money is paid back, I just recycle (the thrift in me) the money to another person in need.
Small Treat Sometimes the shopping bug grabs a hold of you! Go for an inexpensive splurge. Maybe it's a fancy drink from your favorite coffee house or a new cell phone. Walmart has a number of great phones currently on rollback.

My husband has his eye on that Samsung. He's thinking of leaving #teamiPhone for it.
