Big Hero 6 will be available at Walmart on DVD/Blu-Ray beginning February 24th. We missed it in theaters. I wasn't too sure about taking her to a movie theater and by the the time I was certain she was ready for the experience, we missed our opportunity.
Big Hero 6 takes place in the futuristic city of "San Fransokyo" and tells the story of a robotics prodigy and a plus-sized inflatable robot, who develop a special bond on a quest to solve a mystery. It has everything to keep her engaged -- the cute lovable Baymax, a mystery, and her new favorite superheroes. She pretends to be a superhero with her stuffed animals and has perfected her high kick and drop and roll!
I've reserved our copy and ordered GoGo Tomago and Honey Lemon on Walmart.com and had them shipped to our local Walmart so they will be ready and waiting for us for a special Friday night movie in our home. We'll eat chips and drink juice with her new stuffed friends while wearing our t-shirts so we can fully get into the spirit of the movie.
Not only do you get DVD and Blu-Ray in the combo pack but there's also a bonus DVD -- The Science Of Big Hero 6 exploring Baymax and Hiro's high tech world. Plus, a Walmart Exclusive Vudu digital copy (while supplies last).
To claim it, you have to scan the receipt using the Savings Catcher in the Walmart app. Then look for a message on your phone or email. That way you can have Big Hero 6 on any device including phones and tablets!
If you've spent any time with kids then you know there will be several screenings after the first and total immersion into the characters. The toys, figurines, wall decals and other assorted room decor on Walmart.com will keep the memory and magic of this award winning movie alive well into the 106,685th viewing.
DIY Big Hero 6 Baymax Graphic T-Shirt
Violet's love of Big Hero 6 stems from Baymax so it's only fitting that I make a Baymax inspired t-shirt for her (and myself). It was very easy and only 2 supplies needed! Both found at Walmart. Interestingly enough, both can be found in the same aisle.
Supplies needed
- Fabric transfer paper
- white t-shirt
Instructions
1. Print out my free Big Hero 6 Baymax printable on transfer paper. There are 2 size options available per sheet. Cut the design out close to the outer line.
2. Place a flat object under t-shirt. Position transfer where you want it. Face down. Iron over transfer with heavy pressure for 2 - 3 minutes.
3. Carefully pull paper away from design. Allow to cool for a minute. Done!
