Just so you know, life's not always sequins and animal print around these parts. Not even close. Most of the time I'm in my SAHM simple basics like a $5 sweatshirt from Walgreens. It's rainy and overcast today so naturally I would have preferred the whole day in pajama jams (stealing V's lingo).
However, there was grocery shopping to do as the cupboard was left bare during our Thanksgiving holiday road trip. Yesterday I made miracles in the kitchen with my "no idea what to cook" food - frozen tilapia fillets and pasta. E is not a fan of pasta and V does not do fish. Attempting for a 2nd night simply wouldn't do. So out I went in my typical sahm uniform of jeans and a surprisingly cute Wags sweatshirt. I threw on a few baubles to mix it up.
I bought the sweatshirt during the super sad washing machine smoking and spewing oil period. As I couldn't wash clothes, my thrift store fashion hunting skills did me no good but my bargain cheap eyes are always scanning. I was in Walgreens picking up a prescription and toiletries. My eyes landed on a big table of sweatshirts in an array of jewel toned colors. I started sizing them up like I was in Macy's!
I only bought one just to test the waters and I am quite impressed. It's super soft and comfy. Plus, there's the the added bonus of being on trend right now. Received word of new washer / dryer later that day so obviously it has magical powers too. This $5 find saved me from another dreaded trip to the laundromat. Nope, not a bad purchase at all.
