Don't Sweat the Small Stuff for Moms #dontsweatmoms #giveaway

I was selected to be a Don't Sweat Mom and be a part of the Don't Sweat Moms community. As a part of the community, I received Kristine's Carlson's latest book Don't Sweat the Small Stuff for Mom. It's a cute little book and an easy quick read. The chapters are a couple of pages long each dealing with a different "don't sweat" topic.

One of the chapters I really enjoyed was Feeling Sexy From the Inside Out. The first sentence reads "the truly confident and empowered mom shines from within". Since becoming a mom, my confidence level has definitely taken a boost. I feel prettier and more accepting of myself. Evidence being pictures of myself plastered all over this blog.

Way back in my sewing days, I would take pictures of what I sewed and chop the head off! I'm kind of a shrinking violet and to put myself out there in such a way was definitely not comfortable for me. Motherhood has changed me and I like it.

In addition to having a mama created esteem boost, I also do whatever I can to avoid being a "dowdy housefrau". I like to spruce it up every chance I get. It's not a pole dancing class (yet), but it nurtures my feminine self.

As Kristine states in the book, "I am unapologetically me, and it shows from the inside out."

How do you connect with your feminine side?
Have you read the book? What's your favorite part?

More info from the press release:

Fashion & painting my nails helps me stay in touch with my feminine side. I'm also getting more into trying out beauty products and experimenting my hair.

My time at the nail salon and sometimes I turn my bathroom into a mini spa. I don't do it nearly as often as I should.

I've heard of the series and remember browsing a book a few years back. Having my little diva 7 months ago has really helped me reconnect with my feminine side. 10 years being surrounded by boys in the house and I didn't realize how much I'd been not glamming it up. I've gotten back into accessorizing and experimenting with hair bows and bands for my natural hair.
