What I'm Reading

My Google reader contains mostly blogs. Mainly fashion and foodie blogs so I'm basically looking at pretty pictures and reading captions and recipes. I have a ridiculous amount of subscriptions. I love reading blogs!

I downloaded it onto Kindle ages ago and I read a few pages but never got into it. Maybe I need to listen to the audio version. I'm not ready to chuck it completely. Have you read it? Did you like it?

My BFF loaned this one to me in June 2010. I was visiting her and had just finished reading the book I came with. She loaned this one to me for the plane ride home. I don't normally read short stories but this is a good one. I love hearing the bad girl stories written by bad girls like me *wink, wink*. Unfortunately I sat it down and got busy preparing for baby. I'll pick it up again. The stories are funny and definitely bad girl behavior.

I've only read a few pages. It's due back at the library in a week. The pressure is on. I want to finish it. I need to go on a Google Reader fast. SN: The author is on Twitter and tweeted that she hopes I enjoy it.

Fresh from the library today. I read Sapphire's first book Push many years ago. I should   probably read it again since I now think of the movie (Precious) when remembering the story. I wonder if this one is screen worthy?

What are you reading?

I'm with you on the Google Reader overload and racing to finish library books! I just finished Unbeweaveable - usually not a fiction fan but my mom was reading this and suggested it to me. It's about hair issues and would make a good Lifetime Movie I think! Next up, 2 travel books on Paris. We have a layover there coming up this December and who knows if we might get delayed and have time to explore!

My Google reader stays on overload and then I have apps on my phone that have the things I read the most. So much to read, so much to read.
I'm almost done reading, Eat Pray Love...its for a book club and its still taking me forever to finish. It's ok. I enjoyed her journey through Italy the most. When she got to India I was like, shoot me. It's not that I don't like India, I would love to visit one day its her experience there that made me want to leave ASAP.

'Kindered' was recommended to me by a former prof., She used exerts from the book for her class and it seems like a nice book, I think I would love it. I'm currently re-reading 'Zadie Smith on Beauty.' Do review the books when you're done reading them.

@Quiana I'm adding unbeweavable to m list. I can only handle fast paced light reading right now. Can't wait to read all about your trip. Note to self: add more travel blogs to my reader!

@Lisa C Writes glad I'm not alone with the google reader addiction. I enjoyed reading eat. pray. love. Italy is the best part of the book. I love travel memoirs.

@Liz Lizo I'll definitely review once I actually finish a real book. It takes such a long time now.

I love Octavia Butler, I've read all of her books! You may like Wild Seed, give that one a try.

@Nicole thanks for the suggestion, I'll put it on my list.
