The winner in the best cropped pants for short people category is...Lilly Pulitzer capris! I never have any luck cropped pants at the thrift that don't look like ill fitting regular length pants. The pintuck down the pant leg on these helps with lengthening the leg too. Double score.
I have to say that I went into sticker shock when I saw that these pants were $12. At the thrift store, really? Given they have a retail value of $150, I was willing to splurge a little. Plus, I love that they have alligators on them. They also hold their shape very well and didn't grow out around the knees as the day went on. They're worth it.
I wouldn't consider myself a preppy girl but I like the fun prints on Lilly Pulitzer. I picked up a skirt too as I am not likely to buy from the retail collection anytime soon. Now that the brand has a collaboration with Target, we're more likely to find those pieces in the thrift store going forward. I haven't checked that collection out either. Have you? How's the quality?
I started out in a white tee for this super casual warm Sunday afternoon but it was way too harsh on the muffin top. The weave of the grey tee is such that it camouflages most of the "overage". Wearing these pants just confirms again how much high waist pants are the way to go for me or you know exercise. As the latter is probably not going to happen, I will rethink thrifting low rise going forward.
My heels are highly impractical for the day but I needed something to add a little edge to the super cute and colorful critters swimming all over the pants. It was a backyard do nothing day so no worries, the toes were saved from extreme discomfort.
Are you a fan of cropped pants? Are you a Lilly Pulitzer fan?

I am new to the Lilly Pulitzer name. I saw all the madness over the Target launch, but that's about it.
