Monochromatic dressing doesn't always have to be head to toe in one color. Sometimes there's print mixing too. It provides some interesting elements to the overall look. I have gingham. I have abstract. I have grape bunches too.
I thought I would be pairing my midi skirt with basic tees all summer or sticking with white or black as I usually stick with 1 statement piece. It turns out purple gingham is a great alternative. It's vibrant with a bit of whimsy. This "grapelicious" find was kind of out the box for me. It has that neckline I'm not so fond of but it's tunic length..and purple. Who can resist purple? I know I can't.
I was in my purple zone so I pulled out vintage earrings that remind me of a bunch of grapes adding more to the whimsy vibe. They were last seen with a sheer maxi dress. It seems I only wear them with purple. I'll need to mix it up with some other color next time. They simply aren't being worn enough.
Finished the look with a recent thrift score. Wedge shoes have found their way back into my heart. These have lovely cutout details that are popular this summer with a wedge that's walkable and gives a nice height boost.
Have you done any monochromatic mixing?

I spent my weekend hunting down a new place to live in Atlanta. I didn't do any thrifting. However, I did partake in several non diet friendly eating options. Visit all the yums on instagram plus a cute and creepy inchworm -- first siting for this city girl.

Looking good! I can't resist purple either.
This does look good! I'm more of a pink girl, but purple gets my love too.
