I was raised to believe that a woman should always have her own. Now that "my own" is seriously low (it's been 2 years since I was laid off), I'm thinking more and more about what I'm going to do for cash.
I'm not ready to enter the workforce. I want to stay at home with V. I have some hustling to do. I'm not talking about doing anything illegal just doing what needs to be done to make money.
My brainstorming list of hustles:
- sell my newly paid off car
- sell some of my belongings on ebay, craiglist, etsy, and amazon
- sell crafts
- 3rd shift virtual call center gig
- participate in research studies
It's a personal question but hey we talk bewb, poop, and lady things, why not? My question is for the SAHMs, the WAHMs, and the unemployed...how do you generate income?

Well, I've always worked and/or worked and gone to school.
Part time gig?
We have sold a few things on Craig's List lately since B's income is sporadic.
Think of something etsy worthy and get on it. You are a talented woman.
I have a part time job now, but I'm going to parlay what I love into my side hustle. Personal shopping and beating faces.
Hold a rent party. This could consist of you making some of your favorite margaritas, baking some cakes / frying some catfish and turning up the sounds. You could also play cocktail waitress for private parties, especially if your know how to make drinks. Rent out your space for private dinner's and create an intimate ambiance for a couple or party of four. You cold also take up lunch orders at deliver them at construction sites...however, construction season is almost over. Another Idea is selling Mary Kay or Avon. Lastly, you can take in laundry. - Keesha
My first thought it that maybe you can find a family with a kid V's age who needs a sitter. But do you want two babies in the house??.
You could certainly make a small fortune off eBay. And have you thought about signing up for SocialSpark and doing sponsored posts(http://izea.in/rkHO) ? You can make a good amount from that too. Also, check out Elance.
Good luck!
Lots of good suggestions. Thanks, ladies! I'm adding to my list and will let you know what happens (and send you a virtual kiss)!
@Girl...get a life I did think about that but I don't know how it works with more than 1.
Let me know if you want any Etsy advice, feedback...things to avoid...etc.
@Ashley I listed my DVF dress already. More to come I just need to find time to take photos. I'm open to pointers, tips, feedback, etc. My etsy name is cookie74. Thanks!
You could monetize your blog by seeking out sponsors. Companies are always looking for relatively inexpensive advertising opportunities, and bloggers present just that.
@Nicole it's on my list! Thanks for suggesting.
