Thrifting Thursday: A Bit of Sunshine
V has a meltdown every time I take her to a thrift store and she has no interest when I catwalk all my purchases. Rude baby. I forgot I have a blog and I can share them with the world (or at least the handful of people who stop by here). :)
I found this dress at Village Discount Outlet. I was prepared to leave it behind since I'm not looking for anymore dresses. I love the color. I tried it on and loved the fit so much. Its petite sized so the length works really well for my short legs. Most dresses don't hit me at the right length.
It has pockets. Love. Yes, that's where my hands are hidden in the picture. The dress also has a button front (great for nursing), mandarin collar, and pintucks on the sleeves and bodice. The belt was missing but I think it looks great with my pink belt (another thrift store find).
I don't remember what I paid but $3.00 or less is what I normally spend per item when thrifting.

It looks like I have a goiter on my neck but I don't that's just what happens when you try to flip the hair out of your face before the timer goes off. |
Do you thrift?
What are some of your great finds?

No goiter, but are you looking down at me?
When I was little, I had a Julia doll (um, I still have her), and I used to dress her in yellow all the time. She looked so pretty. Barbie looked like vomit in yellow...
(Julia was the TV show that Diahann Carroll starred in, circa 1967. Have I told you that before?)
(Note to self: Copy this look.)
(Second Note to Self: Get a yellow dress first.) ;)
@Funkidivagirl *drool* I'm always on the hunt for a great vintage find at thrift stores...a rare rare occurrence.
