The Beaters Remixed

I am happy to report that the Beaters makeover is DONE. I feel so accomplished.  I have a lot of half finished crafts out there. This made my day, of course, I could do nothing else but lay on the couch, surf the net, and sip on some Barbie juice bask in the glow of a completed project.

Well, I could have celebrated by doing some strength training and Zumba but I didn't and that's a whole other subject. Anyways, the shoes....

I'm already thinking about covering the entire shoe (the metallic is a little bit beat too) or covering another pair entirely. I feel more confident now with the x-acto knife and mod podge. The second shoe looks so much better than the first shoe. I know the 2nd pair is going to be fab u lous.

How should I rock them?
Should I take it to the next level and cover the entire shoe?
What crafts are you working on?

That's fabulous. What a way to revamp a pair of shoes and fix them to meet your needs.

I would love to see a tutorial on how you did those. I am torn on whether or not you should cover the entire shoe. I say experiment with a 2nd pair first.

A tutorial is a great idea, then you could find a craft hop to join and get more followers.

The shoes look super cute!!! I say leave them. I am working on probably 8 different scrapbooks and trying to figure out how to decorate my new apt in August!!!!

@Baby Shopaholic These are my favorite shoes. I'm just not ready to part with them no matter how many new pairs I get.

@DaeneIT Thank you. I'm glad I could salvage them.

@YUMMommy & Ellen I may not get around to a tutorial (I've always wanted to do a tute on something though) but it was very easy especially the 2nd one. Apply spray adhesive to fabric. Apply fabric to shoe. Use x-acto knife carefully to cut away. Lots and lots of mod podge. I haven't weatherproofed them yet but I think that should be the last step. Voila! Done.

@Tiffany I'll leave them. I think I will take YUMMommy's advice and try a different shoe. You're a scrapbook person, huh? Show me the scrapbooks! Congrats on your upcoming move. Are you in to interior design?
