Style, Meet Life hosted a marvelous swap party at Heritage Littles. In case you don't remember, I met Jessica 2 weeks ago at Style & Snapshots and she told me about her upcoming event. I'm so pleased our paths crossed. It doesn't get any better than an event with mimosas, sweet treats, and a style swap!
While moseying up to the counter for a mimosa, I found Courtney and her fabulous belt. Another sign that this is exactly how I should have been spending my Sunday. Having a passion for animal accessories, I asked her where she bought it. Goodwill, of course! I found a thriftanista to chat with in under 5 minutes!
Soon after, I met Jalpa and her "fabulous in orange" friend. Jalpa is an instagram friend and that's always so much fun seeing people in real life that you pretty much see (digitally) on a daily basis.
I chatted with these ladies while I sucked back my mimosa. Only one though. You have to be focused to grab the goodies.
I swapped fast and used all of my swap currency within 15 minutes, checked out with Jessica, and continued my mimosa Sunday lifestyle while basking in the glow of a great thrift haul!
What I scored:
- I "bought" 2 pairs of J. Crew Toothpick jeans. My ankle length pants lucky streak is still going strong.
- A brand new with tags Ann Taylor dress in a pretty hot pink color.
- An Ann Taylor Loft tank. I really do love exposed zippers.
- A Club Monaco silk skirt with a drawstring waist. Just like elastic waist, drawstrings hold a special place in my heart.
I am very pleased with my haul and Jessica was an excellent host. I will definitely be at the next one! If you'd like to see more pictures and details from the event, follow #StyleSwapChicago on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
