When I found this sweet little pink dress in the thrift store, I had no idea it could be so sexy. I don't normally go for totally shapeless frocks but I was drawn to the many details. Hot pink color. Yes. Exposed zipper. Yes. Scallop trim on bodice. Yes. Puffy sleeves. Oh yeah. Drop waist. Interesting. It became less matronly when I put it on. It's really short and legs are on display. Could this be another outfit for date night / Valentine's Day?
I added lacy crochet tights to the mix! Bow chicka wow wow. People ask me about these tight all the time and I can't remember what brand they are. Almost positive I bought them at Carson's 6 years ago. They have really held up over the years.
I brought out another oldie but goodie item -- high heeled oxfords. They seemed appropriate and toned down the sexpot and brought it back to schoolgirl chic.
I rediscovered a bag I bought at an estate sale. It's colorful and adds a touch of edgy. It hasn't sold in The Thriftanista Closet. Maybe it's my new camera bag?
Wrapped up the look with a recent find -- a chunky sweater with faux leather trim and painted copper color threads weaved into it. More toning down of the sexy.
Lest you think me not a fan of vavavoom, I am. It's just that I have a cold. I haven't had coffee. It's time to make V's lunch and we are once again caught up in the polar vortex.
I'm off to make PBJ sandwiches and grab a velour muumuu. Ta-ta for now.
Do you own a little pink dress?

Very Nice. The color is great for this drab winter months. I really like how you put the black tights with the dress. www.LifeAsAThriftyGurl.blogspot.com
