StyleFile: tights and leggings #StyleMadeEasy #cg #spon

I struggle with time management. If my goal is to get out of the house on time, my attention to my appearance can be a bit lax while I'm trying to make sure V is all set to go. For that reason, I prefer clothes that are easy.  I enjoy primping, doing my hair, makeup and accessorizing. Somedays, I just don't have time for it.  I still like to walk out of the house knowing that I look my best that's why I consider my style easy and effortless. I don't like it too complicated. I like to wear quick and comfortable clothes but with some element of oomph! The oomph factor was definitely there this weekend when I tried out No nosense tights and leggings. I normally wear tights all winter and sometimes 2 pairs if it's chilly! My current tights collection is a sea of black, brown, and grey and now a sprinkle of purple -- my favorite color.

On Saturday, I wore the aubergine corduroy leggings. I paired them with a purple / black sweater for a monochromatic look.

I was concerned about wearing the leggings. Whenever I wear leggings, I feel somewhat pant-less. They usually don't offer enough butt room and the ones I have are made of a very thin material. Not so with the No nonsense leggings! They're pretty thick and the texture of the corduroy also gives them a pant-like quality.

They were also velvety soft and cozy with a comfortable elastic waist. You know I'm #teamelasticwaist everyday! The rise is a bit higher and provided nice full butt coverage! The color is amazingly rich and vibrant. You know I love purple -- Violet is named Violet for a reason.

This is the perfect purple! Love. it.

On Sunday, I wore the deep burgundy patterned tights. I paired them with a neutral black / grey palette and kicked it up a notch with the patterned tights and pumps that matched the tights perfectly.

I love how opaque the tights are. Like I said before, I sometimes double up on tights for warmth but I also do this to make them more opaque. I didn't have to do that with the No Nonsense tights. Even the diamond weave was pretty dark.

The tights held the rolls everything in place nicely and I didn't experience one roll of the waistband.

The leggings and the tights are both a great addition to my wardrobe and I'm excited about experimenting with other ways of styling.

Check out this styling tip from Jill Martin addressing the butt / no butt covering issue. I went with partial coverage with my sweater but still kept my top loose fitting. I definitely cover in the front. While I didn't see camel toe in the mirror, I didn't want mysterious toe to appear in the camera.

What's your preferred length? Do you wear tights or leggings? How do you style them?
