Today I'm sharing my very first vlog (video blog) as a member of MomPulse*, a network that empowers you to share your voice through video. In addition to providing tools and resources to help enhance your vlog experience, there's also the opportunity to monetize your content and participate in sponsorships opportunities.
I've been wanting to try vlogging since I had the camera time earlier in the year. I really enjoyed sharing my finds and talking about thrifting. I also liked the way it made me feel about myself. like I really could do anything. Dramatic much? But it really did. It was a big step for me as an adult working to overcome shyness and become less introverted. I really felt like I put myself out there and I'm ready to do it again. Since I haven't been approached for the 24/7 thrifting channel, I created my own YouTube channel. Just as good.
The content of this vlog is my answer to the weekly question in the MomPulse newsletter which is really a dare: Post a video on your channel introducing yourself, a project or video you would like to do and who in MomPulse you would like to work with.
My response:
Shameless plug: If you are a fan of vlogs, please subscribe to my channel, TheWindyCityMama. I promise to do more than just sit in a chair and read from my notes.
Thank you!
*I applied and was accepted through Clever Girls Collective but if you're interested in sharing your voice on video, you can apply directly through the MomPulse channel.

You did good. :)
COngrats on your first Vlog! I hate the sound of my own voice... and I'm a singer! go figure! So needless to say I'm not sure I would ever vlog but here's to dreaming. Anyway what an accomplishment and yes, you can do anything! I will check out the Vlog later as I can't view it from my work computer! hahaah.

I think you did great, it is hard to get in front of a video camera. You sounded calm and clear. Good luck. You will do great.

Congrats on your first vlog!
congrats on your first vlog! It takes alot to express yourself in front of a camera rather than writing things down for a blogpost. As for me....I'm not there yet! And may never be:) Once you get more comfortable and find your groove I think your channel will be just as good as your blog! For your first time out, you did a good job:)
Thanks for watching!
I don't like the sound of my voice either. Thanks for the encouragement!
Thanks Carrie!
