I went on two treasure hunts last week. I didn't buy much. I'm still in scale back mode. My shopping is out of control and I'm running low on space.
I took a few unsold items from my shops to Crossroads Trading and got a little spending cash. So this is...
What I Thrifted
MIA wood sandals ($2.90) and wolf jewelry ($5.80)
I love the chunkiness and platform on these wood heels. I wore them over the weekend briefly. The left one kills my baby toe. A key to why they may have been given away. Since they're leather, I hope they stretch a bit.
I saw the wolf bracelet first. When I saw the earrings in a different case, I had to get them too. Now I'm wondering if there was a necklace, hmmmm. I thought it was super just super adorable. I call them my wolf pack.
Vintage sunglasses ($1.90)
Someone was stalking me store hoping I would put these down. The shape doesn't fit my face well so I thought I would put them on Etsy. Girlgetalife has already claimed them! They look so much better on her than on me.
Sheer floral peplum dress ($2.45)
I plan to turn this into a top.
Puffy sleeves, matching fabric belt, and a double row of asymmetrical ruffles. Oh yes!
I think I'll get more wear out of it as a top though.
Random pink striped sweater ($.10)
It was basically free....
I also took a trip to Goodwill on my birthday. I never go because it's out of the way AND the prices are higher than my local spots. However, I had my 25% birthday coupon and I didn't want to waste it.
I had only been to the one in the city but decided to check out a suburban location.
It was a small haul.
The prices were still higher than SA, VDO, and Unique but I did manage to leave with a few goodies.
Trouser jeans with tapered legs ($3.74)
I love the cut of these jeans. Perfect length for flats or heels.
They work for the playground and a night out.
Leopard jumpsuit ($3.74)
I turned it into a romper over the weekend because of some sun fading on one of the pant legs.
This was my favorite find! It looks great on and has some very unique pleating in the front. It does great things to my waistline.
Chetta B wrap dress ($3.74)
I know some thrifters prefer to buy off season but I prefer to stick with seasonal finds.
This is an exception. It's a classic style and I love the multi colored waistband. It's very well made too.
What have you found?

To stretch leather shoes: fill a ziploc bag with water, stuff into toes of shoes, freeze. The ice will expand and slowly stretch the leather.
You're welcome.
The last dress looks like the fabric is amazing! I am slowly getting hip to the smaller spots and they are much cheaper than the Goodwill.
I really like that final dress. I've been the same way lately. Unless I have a really great coupon (50% off winter coats in May) I'm sticking to seasonal finds or basics (sweaters etc) just because "what's in" is always changing. I need to head out to Goodwill myself. I think I'll go next month after the Savers in Arlington Heights opens. There's two Goodwills out there and with the Savers, it'll hopefully be worth the trip. Have you considered going to the Goodwill Outlet in Indianapolis? It's three hours away but I've been super tempted.
I can't wait to see the leopard jumper as a romper
I LOVE the leopard jumpsuit/romper! I was lucky this past week and found a white Versace button down shirt at my local Goodwill! It will be perfect for everything.
Thank you! I will give it a try.
The fabric is nice and thick. I love it.
I can't wait to see what you find!
I have friends on the way to Savers in Crystal Lake. I keep meaning to stop in on the way. There are a few others on the journey too. One day I'll make a tour of it.
Would make a great trip for the Thriftanista Social Club. I love thrifting journeys.
Soon....
Thanks Steph!
Love the jumpsuit. I'm totally obsessed with those and maxi skirts at the moment.
Great finds mama! I love the wolf jewelry too :) Havent been thrifting lately. Trying to clear out some space in the house for new stuff :)
Breezy and easy for summer!
Thanks for liking my wolf jewelry! I need to stay out of the thrift store. I really do. I. just. can't. help. myself.
