Nail Polish Love - Purple & Mint

It's been a minute with this segment. I haven't been keeping up on my manicures and nail polishing. I'm having so much chippage lately that it just doesn't seem worth it. Nails and baby wrangling don't seem to go well together. I have more wrangling now that V is walking and half running and touching everything that isn't one of her toys.

I've been wanting to get a little fancy with the nails. I was inspired by Sophistishe and a whole lot of nail bloggers in my reader. It's extremely free hand. Once I shower away all the paint on my skin, I think it will look pretty good.

It looks so much better all fuzzy and soft.

Mine aren't fancy, but one thing I do is keep the bottle of whatever color I'm wearing in my car. I get in, start the car, put on my seatbelt, back out and touch up. The 30 minute drive allows drive time!

Yay purple. I am doing a party nail on my ring finger since I am constantly showing it off. Also, even though it is winter I am wearing frosty shades so when it chips you can't really see it.

Pretty! I rarely get to my hands. My daughter always has her almost 3 year old nails manicured though lol. She love it :)

So cute. It's been such a long time since I've done my nails that I had to do them today. I'm wearing a color called "Breaking Curfew" by L'Oreal ~ a pretty deep purple shade.

Hello, new follower!! Love the nails and I love playing with nail color & making my nails fancy!!! I've started playing around with nail art a bit over the holidays and did snowflakes which was cute. I also now usually have 1 fancified nail on each hand. It'll either be a different color, in the same color family, or it'll be a nail that has glitter. It's a lil bit of glam without being over the top and works with my 9-5!

OMG I LOVE IT! So glad I could be of inspiration. So happy to have you link up!

I fancify by doing my nails (surprise! lol), and I try to learn new makeup techniques when I can. Just learned I need to prime my face before applying foundation since I have oily skin. Also the key to dealing with oily skin is applying moisture. Who would have thought? Learn something new every day :).

Yours are really cute.

I need to step my nail game up b/c I keep them plain and I read somewhere it makes your hands look aged. :/ Definitely don't want that look.

That's a good idea and great time management. :)

My chippage is serious. Basically half the nail. It's noticeable in any color!

You should link up with Nails to the Yeah. Show us all the party nail and and the ring.

I like primers. I just found a good one in my price range -- cheap or free. It's makes the makeup look so much better.

I'm trying to get back on track with the nails. It makes me happy. :)

I don't do anything crazy with my nails, just use a lot of different colours :)

What primer do you use? People swear by Prime Time Bare Escentuals and Smashbox Anti-Shine. I'm so desperate, I may splurge on one of them.

I have a bare minerals and a smashbox sample that I squeeze out sparingly. I really like the smashbox but it's so expensive. I also had a pur mineral one applied to my face that was really nice. I'm not ready to invest though. I need to go scope out some new samples. To Sephora I must go!
