I have had this polka dot skirt in my closet for a while. I never wear it though. I love the midi length. It has an elastic waist (woot woot!) and a great cut. It's an all year around skirt too. I haven't found anything in my closet that goes well with it. It's been in my toss pile many times but I always retrieve it before donating. It just doesn't seem to mix well with anything. Yesterday, I tried it with this vintage pink blouse. It's ok but I don't think it's picking up the rock star capabilities of this skirt.
Am I giving this skirt too much credit? Keep or donate?
Hey Ms. V, coming to freshen me up with your giant lipstick rattle?
I did a switcheroo on my shoes. I had errands to run and certainly didn't do them in heels. Since I'm just out here posin', why not lengthen the legs?

I think you can make it work! I'm not a big fan of pols dots in general though, but looks good with the top you paired it with.
ReplyDeleteThanks Quiana! I don't have too much polka dot in my closet. The fit of this skirt (plus price) was just too perfect.
DeleteI'm a big fan of polka dots and I think is one of those prints that can never go out of style. You can pair it with solid colors or even mix prints; I think polka dots are easier to match because they can go pretty much with everything (stripes, floral...) But you definitely made it work this time, and with heels you look really elegant!

I love the skirt but am thinking maybe shorten it an inch or two to hit right at the knee or just below.
