It definitely takes a thrifting expert to know that you can definitely do some renovations at home to make a thrifted piece a master piece. And, that skirt---- I need that one in my life. I have a beautiful Ralph Lauren silk polka dot blouse that I never wore because the added ruffle on the sleeve made them too long and annoying. I recently threw it in my goodwill bag. I hate to sew, and too realize it won't get done if I have a project. A few days later I realized I could cut off the ruffle and it would be just right. So happy to save a beautiful blouse that I will now wear. Cheers to scissors! ;-)Dana Hallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18087111868635408501noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2020523209903869002.post-61068809817791715492014-10-30T16:20:18.587-04:002014-10-30T16:20:18.587-04:00OMG this is fabulous! I sew with silk a lot...and I've bought quite a few silk pieces in my life....so the trick is..cold water wash, gentle cycle and hang to dry. The only say dry clean only on their tags to "cover their behinds" Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00538670346375359860noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2020523209903869002.post-2755083326828266912014-10-29T08:57:52.247-04:002014-10-29T08:57:52.247-04:00I love the after you are right it looks much bette...I love the after you are right it looks much better such a fabulous look!
