Thriftanista Social Club: A weekend of thrift

Saturday was the big day! The day the thrift challenge went down. I challenged the Thriftanistas to spend $25 or less and have the lowest price per item cost.

11 Thriftanistas competed. Two walked away with a $25 gift card to Unique Thrift. Everyone else received a $5 gift card for participating.

Some people were still shopping after the challenge or went back for more with the shiny new cards.
I almost stuck to my own personal budget of $20. Only $3 over.

Purple peplum in a very dirty mirror.

Ready for spring.

Stuart Weitzman pumps.
I'm not sure they're me. I'm going to either remove the bow or sell them.

How I wish these were my size.

Comfort heels. Not my size. Boo. They were in really good condition.

In addition to the challenge, we had the opportunity to visit the store's sorting area. The supervisor treated us so well and answered all of our questions. She is responsible for the money fan pose! I love it.

Our thriftiest Thriftanistas

Sunday, I had another thrift date and was $10 over budget. Gahh! I said I was only going to look and take pictures of everyone else's find but I just couldn't help myself.

Long tunic - check out my Jolie leg.
Vintage parisian sweater dress - More leg.
Orange 80s blazer - This is going to be a fun piece to work with.
Vintage London Fog trench - Another trench for the collection.

I met up with some very lovely ladies at a Unique store I had never been to. I was impressed. The store was very clean. It was quiet and there were nice gems at affordable prices.

I bought the beaded bag and the Liz Claiborne.
The other 2 vintage bags had us all green with envy. Gorgeous finds!

All the beautiful Thriftanistas.
My sister is on the right. This was her first time thrift shopping!
How was your weekend?

  1. Which one do you go to? I tend to go to the one on Elston and Kimball but haven't had many finds there at all lately! Itching to find a new thrift haven.
