There are some thrift store pieces that really capture my heart. Either I wanted them for myself and it wasn't a good fit for me or my lifestyle or I knew that someone else would love it and I must get it in that persons hands. The past month has been fruitful with fun little gems that also turned a decent profit on eBay, Poshmark, or Etsy. These are my recent favorites that found new homes.
1. The denim jumpsuit I thrifted in Florida. I wore it once and then it sold.
2. A Gunne Sax dress that I picked up on a .99 sale day at one of the grungier thrift stores (they have the best treasures). It was in perfect condition and while not my style, I knew that someone would love it.
3. Kate Spade flats that were too big for me but were in perfect condition. A gorgeous shoe with the ability to be dressed up or down.
4. A Kenn Sport raincoat that's a pretty hot item on eBay but I know why. I liked vibrant red shiny vinyl. It wasn't thrift store cheap but I thought it was special and worth the extra investment and it was.
5. Madewell mules that were my size and my style but I let them go because sometimes money is good. I have my heart set on a nice pair of white leather mules for summer so I chose to focus on them and not hoard a bunch of 'maybe' shoes.
6. The vintage floral caftan stung a little bit. I was planning to take it on my spring break vacation to Palm Springs. It arrived at its new home in California before I did.
7. Vintage Jordache jeans that I found in Palm Springs. I love high waist and all cotton vintage denim but these were a tad too snug for my comfort. One day I will find a perfect pair and keep them for myself.
8. More vintage jeans that weren't the right fit for me. Calvin Klein jeans sell very well - the older styles and the new ones. CK makes great jeans and you don't need a ton of spandex to look good it them.
9. The yellow jumpsuit sold shortly after I put in the new elastic. This was my first time selling something that required a serious repair.
10. A vintage white leather skirt that was another .99 find at my favorite grungy thrift store. It's a great all season piece. It's simple yet unique. I wanted it for myself but I could only fit one thigh in it.
