Vintage Leather Trench Coat As A Dress

When I heard that one of my favorite Chicago thrift stores was shutting its doors, I started to reminisce about all the good thrift treasure I found there. One of my absolute favorites is the vintage leather Michael Hoban North Beach Leathers peplum trench coat. Useless fact of the day: they're known for being the creators of the very first eight ball jacket.

I would have tried an eight ball jacket on for fun but this leather trench is totally my style. It's retro with the fishtail peplum. It's close fitting and the leather is buttery soft. Without anything underneath, it's low cut and Grace Jones sexy.

Now that I'm shed a few pounds, the fit has gone from tight to quite roomy. I've often toyed with wearing the coat as a dress. The fit makes it way more likely.

I'm getting closer with my shirtless outfit today. There's just my necklace on underneath so I guess it's a shirt today. It's cold af outside today so I actually could have used a real top but I'm really trying to imagine the coat as a dress. It's far too cold to go without pants though.
