Thrifted Outfit // Sequins and Metallics

And just like that, the time has come for the wearing of the sequins. I absolutely don't need a reason to pull out the shiny orbs but it's comforting to know that sequins will be shining bright into the new year.

This skirt is one of my all time favorite diy thrift store refashion ideas. It was an extremely short dress that I cut to make a pencil skirt. I'm not planning on a wild night out on the town for NYE. We'll likely take Violet out for a fancy dinner and ring in the new year on the couch.

I still want to get fancy though and sequins are the way to do that. The look is toned down with a sweater with nice details. Epaulets with leather buttons on the shoulders and an asymmetrical zippered closure. I decided to wear it pullover style whether than as a cardigan.

I piled on more shiny party touches with vintage aurora borealis earring and bracelet, large statement ring plus metallic touches in clutch and pumps.

All thrifted.
