How to Dress Chic: Lessons from Moto X Pure Edition

The outfit I'm wearing defines my chic and also represents lessons learned from ogling the new Moto X Pure Edition by iconic American designer Jonathan Adler. He's bringing his timeless chic design to the world of technology via a limited edition collaboration with Motorola. I thank him and I thank Motorola for sponsoring this discussion.

To be chic is to be stylish and elegant. Shopping at thrift stores has certainly helped me make better style choices when it comes to to the clothes I wear. I learned to appreciate and find the good in several styles of clothing from several different decades. I'm not concerned with the year an item was made. It's the quality I'm looking at. The designer isn't so important either. Although, it can be an indicator of good quality.

When checking out the new Moto X Pure Edition, I noticed three attributes of the phone that perfectly represent what it means to be chic:

1. Build a timeless foundation then accessorize with abandon

The first lesson is Jonathan Adler's design philosophy and one I wholeheartedly agree with.

Blue gingham is one of those timeless foundations. It's a classic for every closet. It can be dressed up or down. It can match almost anything. I accessorized my outfit with bright, fun earrings, and vintage necklace and belt. I kept the look very wearable with a little bit of quirk thrown in. I can also wear it with stud earrings, black pumps and a black sheath dress for a business look.

Moto X Pure Edition offers the same timeless foundation. It has a top-rated 21 MP camera, a battery that lasts all day, TurboPower for the world’s fastest charging, a stunning 5.7” Quad HD display, front-facing stereo speakers, and advanced water protection.

It’s unlocked too, which means you can use your Moto X on any network, and switch carriers whenever you want - without having to buy a new phone.

2. Express yourself any way you want to.

Culottes are one of my choices for self-expression. I've heard it over and over again that culottes aren't very flattering. That it's a trend that should have stayed buried. They're old fashioned. I still love them though so I wear them and I feel very chic in them.

With the new Moto X Pure Edition by Jonathan Adler, there are a choice of styles to choose from. You can pick one that fits your style. All three are beautiful with great color and interesting design.

3. Be as beautiful on the inside as you are on the outside.

It's one of the few fashion rules I think everyone should obey. True beauty comes from within. Outer appearance is what everyone sees first so of course you want great packaging. The good vibes you have within though will keep you looking and feeling your best and keep others interested in what's on the outside.

The new Moto X designs are beautiful outside but the impeccable workmanship and many features within these phone are amazing too. Who wants a pretty phone that can't take a selfie or tell you where the nearest thrift store is?
