DIY Fashion + Beauty Gift Ideas

It's almost that time y'all. Are you just starting or wrapping up (ha!) your holiday shopping? If you're looking for unique and special gifts to give, look no further than your own two hands. You have the power to diy something heartfelt and inexpensive too.

Obviously making gifts can be more time consuming but I've pulled together some of the easiest and stylish fashion and beauty diys I've made for myself and others. While the below projects are fairly simple you'll need to gather your supplies, get them wrapped, and mailed so don't procrastinate!

thrift store gifts
T-Shirt necklace - This is a great way to recycle old t-shirts you may have. You only need a t-shirt and scissors or rotary cutters for this project and it can be done in about 20 minutes.

homemade gift ideas
Button earrings - These can be made in bulk in a number of different sizes and you can also use fabric salvaged from unused textiles you may already have on hand.

making gifts for christmas
Oversized clutch purse with tassel zipper pull - the bag does require some basic sewing skills but the tassel doesn't and can be used to make keychains or charms.

Solid perfume - The perfume cakes come together really fast. Once you pour it into a container it's ready to be wrapped in under an hour. This is a project you can make multiples of as you will have leftover supplies.

Infinity scarf - This is a no knitting involved infinity scarf. It only requires two quick seams. It can be done by hand too. I made a scarf for my mom and kept one for myself. Hers was a lovely plush animal print. Mine is hand dyed made with gifted lace fabric.

christmas gifts to make
Wrap bracelet - Make a bracelet that can also be used as a belt. You can find nice leather skinny belts at the thrift store and pick up paper fasteners at a big box or office supply store.

body butter recipe
Whipped body butter - I've been using my homemade body butter exclusively for months. If you buy the supplies in bulk, you'll have enough leftover to make a batch or two for yourself. You can add mica powder or fragrance to customize as well.
