The party included everything you would need to craft away: scissors, glue, fabric, trims, buttons, cupcakes, and wine!
I decided to bring the project that has been floating through my head. I wanted to cover my old Beaters and make them beautiful again. The party was 2 1/2 hours so I had loads of time to knock it out and wear them out the door. I made 1 shoe beautiful and got bored. (SN: This is why I have so many UFOs -- unfinished objects). Le Sigh.

Left: Fascinator I worked on (UFO) Right: I need to clean up my edges and do the other shoe. |
I started a fascinator but became more interested in finishing my cup of pinot grigio and chatting with Natalie (Leader of BurdaStyle's Chicago Club).

Saturday, I spent the day with just one beautiful girl. She's a little cranky though. She has a tooth coming in. Yeah!!! for the tooth, boo-hiss for the discomfort. She also has some nasal congestion. I'm not sure it's a full blown cold though. Is it, mamas? Is it related to the tooth?
The best part of the day was when she knocked out in the new Boba. I had a sweet 45 minutes of peace. V needed it too. She hasn't been sleeping well.

She's sleeps. Hurrah!! |
Sunday, I went to The Make-Up Show. I won a ticket from the ChiTown Fashionista (wooohoooo!). SN: She's my favorite Chicago fashion Blogger. I love makeup and really wish I was a person who could do full face everyday and of course know what I was doing. I didn't leave with anything. I am now regretting that. A lot of the products were discounted too. The introvert in me got overwhelmed by all the gorgeous beauties clustered around every booth.
I ended the day at my sister's house with my beautiful family minus Miss V and Daddy V. They had a daddy/daughter day.
How was your weekend?
Who were the beautiful people you spent time with?
